I have a chapter in my book Every Single Day called “The Conundrum of Comfortable.” It’s one of my favorite chapters.

It’s about how if we didn’t grow up in a war zone or with a terrible dictator or ___________ (fill in the blank of other and very possible horrible living situation that exists) but if our problems are, as we say in the first world, “First-World Problems,” then sometimes we find ourselves in The Conundrum of Comfortable.

If we don’t have to walk four miles with a water jug on our heads to get water but our “problems” are more along the lines of which milk we buy, then we can easily fall into The Conundrum of Comfortable.

Just like the three main topics of this book: writing a book, meditating, and intermittent fasting.

I don’t have to do any of them.

I want to do them.

I want to do all three of them.
