Most people spend far too much time waiting.
Waiting for the invitation.
Waiting for the opportunity.
Waiting for the phone to ring.
Waiting for someone else to make the first move.
I know because I’ve been doing it too.
On a morning walk with Pepper, I realized something that hit me right between the eyes:
If you’re not being invited to the party, maybe it’s time to host the party.
That simple insight led me down a path of examining friendships, speaking opportunities, workshops, coffee dates, creative projects, and all the places where I’ve been quietly waiting instead of actively inviting.
The truth is that the answer isn’t always “yes.”
But the answer is always “nothing” if we never ask.
In this episode, I explore the difference between waiting and inviting, hoping and asking, wishing and acting.
Because the next version of you doesn’t magically appear someday.
The next version of you sends the invitation.
? In this episode:
? Why waiting can be more exhausting than taking action
? How one text message created four meetings in a few hours
? What this means for speaking gigs, workshops, business, and relationships
? The Wayne Gretzky principle that still changes everything
? Why “no” is often better than silence
? How tiny acts of courage create the next version of yourself
If you’ve been waiting for the opportunity, the relationship, the conversation, the client, the invitation, or the next chapter…
This episode might be your invitation to stop waiting.
Who will you be next?
